You’re invited to take our website survey to find out if our website is meeting your needs. At Harmony, we want to be “in touch” with our community, so opening a feedback mechanism is a great way for you to participate in making decisions about the future of our work.
In this case, we need your valuable opinions on the design and overall usability of the site for our upcoming redesign.
It’s easy to take part in the survey and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete!
All we ask is that you be open and honest and give us your feelings on the website.
You don’t have to be a graphic designer, communications specialist, or even a web-developer to give feedback, all we want is your opinion as a website user – this will help us improve our communications and give us a chance to hear your ideas too!

Dear HSE Community,
Happy Holidays! As we come to the end of another highly successful year and semester, I wanted to personally to thank you for all your support. When I first arrived on campus seven months ago, I was thinking how much I love being at HSE. Now, I can confirm that I have one of the best jobs in the world.
Walt Disney once said, “You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people to make the dream a reality.” This is certainly the case as a principal. The reality is that the learning experiences and projects that have taken place this semester could not have happened without a great deal of commitment and support from the staff, parents, and students.
I can’t thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, chaperoning, reading, organizing, donating, and doing everything you could to support our students—both at home and at school. Special thanks goes to our PTO who, as always, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ already rich school experience. We can`t be the #1 without you guys.
In some very exciting news, we are working behind the scenes on a very big project, “The HSE S.T.E.A.M. Lab” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). This new addition will contain a makerspace-like classroom to support collaborative ingenuity for all of our students. STEAMLab is only the temporary name. In the spirit of creativity, we will give students and staff the opportunity to submit and vote on the permanent name. More details coming soon!
Be sure to keep an eye on our social media outlets for all of these announcements and more. Facebook (facebook.com/hsehouston), Twitter (hpsexcellence), and the Tiger Tribune sent to your emails every week.
One of the highlights of the holiday season is the extra time we have to spend time with our loved ones and celebrate the meaning of family and friends. I wish all of you a peaceful holiday, not only now but throughout the year.
See y`all on January 8th.

REMEMBER! OUR I-FEST IS ON THIS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 1ST at HSE
The AMAZING annual HSE International Festival will be held on Saturday, December 1st from 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. This is an inspirational event that showcases the tapestry of cultures that make up our HSE family. There will be country booths where you can eat your way around the world, cultural performances from students and staff, carnival games, vendor booths, and a silent auction of baskets prepared by each homeroom. Here are some of the ways you can
Silent Auction Baskets
Silent Auction baskets are prepared by each homeroom as a fundraiser for the teacher. Homeroom parents have emailed details for items they would like added to their basket. Donations are the best way to raise money so be sure to ask around to add more value.
Each year we ask families to sponsor a country booth to highlight the myriad of cultures that make up HSE. Country Booths will be set up in the cafeteria, and those attending the festival will walk “around the world” as they visit each booth, sample food/drinks, and learn about each country. If you would like to sponsor a booth, please fill out the attached Booth Application.
Students and staff are also encouraged to present cultural performances. I-Fest goers love settling in for the performance portion of the afternoon. If your student or a group you know would like to perform at I-Fest this year, please submit a Performance Application. Performances can be solo or group performances. Additional information is on the attached form.
If you are interested in or know of a friend or family member who might like having a vendor spot at the school to display and sell their various products or items, please share the form with them as well. The vendor spots are limited to one from each company so have them get the forms in as soon as possible.
Go to I-Fest
The last and easiest way to help with I-Fest is to attend the festival. Come out and visit the vendor booths, and most importantly, bid on our Silent Auction baskets! Tickets are available now for presale until November 14th, using the attached form, and will also be available at the door on December 1st. Country booths will only accept tickets to purchase food items. Make sure you get enough tickets for everyone to eat their way around the world. Also, All-You-Can-Play wristbands are available for the Carnival.
We are so excited about this year’s event and hope that everyone can make it to support our wonderful school!
